Dr. Kao Thach Leads a Meeting to Review Work Progress and Set New Strategic Directions for ARDB Bank

Phnom Penh: On March 12, 2026, Dr. Kao Thach, the Government Representative in charge and Director General of the Agricultural and Rural Development Bank (ARDB), chaired a meeting to summarize the monthly work results and set directions for ongoing work with the leadership and staff of the branch management and mobile operations departments, as well as all provincial branches.

In this meeting, Dr. Kao Thach provided recommendations and guidance on five priority tasks, including:

  1. Credit Standard Modernization: Prepare a unified report format including precise financial analysis (ROR, DSC) to effectively manage credit risks.
  2. Digital Transformation: Promote the use of digital technology in all operations to provide convenience and speed to customers.
  3. Customer Care Strategy: Increase regular monitoring and welfare checks of target customers to understand their needs and promptly resolve various challenges.
  4. Market Expansion: Continue to penetrate the promotion of banking products and services to new customers in target areas more broadly.
  5. Strengthening Capacity and Ethics: Continue training staff in technical skills and professional ethics to respond to the evolution of the modern banking sector.

Dr. Kao Thach recommended and encouraged all staff to enhance activities of direct farmer engagement to facilitate credit conditions and provide modern agricultural technical guidance, such as in irrigation and soil science, through the “Techo Farmer Network Association” mechanism to contribute to improving the economic well-being of farming households.
