Malaysia: In order to strengthen the friendship and cooperation in the tourism sector between Malaysia and Cambodia, the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Malaysia, through Tourism Malaysia, has invited journalists from DAP News from Cambodia to participate in the large-scale tourism promotion program «Malaysia Mega Familiarisation Programme 2026» to promote cultural festivals and major tourist destinations.

The event will take place from 16 to 20 April 2026 with the aim of showcasing the rich culture and the “Visit Malaysia 2026” campaign to the people of various countries. The journalists from Deum Ampil joined a group of content creators and international journalists from China, Taiwan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Laos, etc. to experience first-hand two major events: the «Night Splash Water Festival» and the traditional festival «Vaisakhi Festival».

The tour began with a warm welcome from the Director General of Tourism Malaysia at the ibis Kuala Lumpur City Centre hotel. During the program, the press delegation will visit several tourist attractions, including SplashMania Water Park at Gamuda Cove and historical sites in Negeri Sembilan, such as the largest military museum in Malaysia and the Centipede Temple, among others.

The highlight of the mission is the participation in the «Vaisakhi Fest» 2026» at the Malaysia Tourism Centre (MaTiC). The event showcased the vibrant traditions of the Sikh community in Malaysia through cultural performances and a “Langar” charity meal, reflecting Malaysia’s renowned spirit of solidarity and hospitality.
