Cambodia-China pledge to jointly strengthen political trust, military cooperation, deepen comprehensive strategic partnership

Phnom Penh: At the first meeting of the “2+2” strategic dialogue between the foreign ministers and defense ministers of Cambodia and China, the two sides reaffirmed their joint commitment to strengthen political trust, military cooperation, deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership, and promote the building of a Cambodia-China community of shared future in all seasons in the new era. This is according to Mr. Prak Sokhonn’s writing on Facebook on the evening of April 22, 2026.

Please note that on the afternoon of April 22, 2026, Mr. Prak Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Mr. Tea Seiha, Minister of National Defense of the Kingdom of Cambodia   With Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Defense Minister Tong Jun of the People’s Republic of China co-chairing the first meeting of the “2+2” strategic dialogue between the foreign ministers and defense ministers of Cambodia and China in Phnom Penh.
