Pailin: To protect the security and order of the people and strictly implement the measures of the Royal Government of Cambodia to eliminate all crimes from Cambodia, on the evening of April 22, 2026, Ms. Ban Srey Mom, Governor of the Pailin Provincial Government and Chairman of the Provincial Unified Command, issued strict orders to the combined forces of the province to continue the mission to implement inspection measures on major national roads, especially National Road No. 57 and National Road No. 59, to monitor and prevent illegal foreigners entering the territory of Pailin province who commit various illegal crimes, especially preventing online scams.
Ms. Ban Srey Mom said that the Royal Government of Cambodia has introduced a series of strict measures to encourage the capital and provincial authorities to strengthen the capacity of officials to suppress and prevent online fraud crimes that damage national honor.
The provincial governor stated that the purpose of this security tightening is to monitor and control foreigners who come to live or work illegally in Pailin province. Suppression of cross-border crimes includes: preventing human trafficking, illegal border crossing, drug crimes along the border, ensuring the safety of citizens, increasing confidence in local residents by inspecting vehicles traveling through the province, etc. During the operation, authorities checked relevant documents such as passports, visas, and residence permits of all foreigners to ensure they comply with the immigration laws of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
Ms. Ban Srey Mom also emphasized to all law enforcement forces that they must adhere to the code of professional ethics and carry out their work with transparency and rigor. At the same time, she also called on guesthouses, hotels and business owners in Pailin province to cooperate and immediately report to the authorities if they see any suspicious foreigners without proper documents.
It should be noted that this action demonstrates the strong commitment of the Pailin Provincial Administration to follow the guidelines of the Royal Government of Cambodia, in which the provincial administration has clearly stated that it will not tolerate any individual or broker who smuggles foreigners illegally across the border, and strengthening the working mechanism of the Provincial Unified Command as the key to eradicating all types of crimes from Cambodian territory. Under the wise leadership of Ms. Ban Srey Mom, Pailin Province continues to be a safe province with excellent security management, which is an important foundation for economic development and the livelihood of its people.
