Phnom Penh: With the high attention of Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Samdech Kittipritbandit Bun Rany Hun Sen, Samdech Thipdei Hun Manet and Her Excellency Dr. Pech Chanmony, on April 23, 2026, 706 sanitation and public protection workers who directly operated in cleaning up the Sangkrant 2026 event in Phnom Penh received gifts of money and food under the organization of the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia with the Phnom Penh Administration.

The above gift-giving ceremony was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Hun Many, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Public Service and President of the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia, and Mr. Khuong Sreng, Governor of Phnom Penh, on the premises of Phnom Penh City Hall.

On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Hun Many said that the purpose of the above-mentioned gathering and discussion program is to thank all sanitation workers, both state and private companies, as well as all the people’s defense forces who sacrificed their physical strength and family happiness to work at the Sangkrant event, making the Sangkrant a great success.

Mr. Hun Many also expressed his deep gratitude to the Unified Command of the Phnom Penh Administration, along with all competent forces, for their dedication to protecting public security and order during the “Nokor Sangkrant” 2026 event in Phnom Penh over the past 6 days, while there were no security incidents or major accidents. National and international tourists came to enjoy the event with happy faces, smiles, and solidarity under the shade of peace and safety.

At the same time, Mr. Khuong Sreng expressed his gratitude to the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia for choosing Phnom Penh as the venue for the “Nokor Sangkrant” 2026 event, which brought joy to citizens and national and international guests in order to celebrate the new year, support Cambodian products, and show solidarity under the shade of peace and safety.

Mr. Khuong Sreng also said that all these successes are inseparable from the dedication of the authorities and competent forces, especially the sanitation and public protection personnel who directly operate during the Sankranti event, making Sankranti a clean and beautiful environment.
