Kampong Cham: On the morning of May 20, 2026, the Kampong Cham provincial administration, led by Mr. Khlot Phon, Chairman of the Kampong Cham Provincial Council, celebrated the Day of Remembrance on May 20, 2026, with a gathering of many monks at the Phnom Pros execution center in Kampong Siem district to pay tribute to the souls of those who died during the Khmer Rouge regime.
Mr. Khlot Phon said that the celebration of our National Day of Remembrance now comes at a time when our country is suffering from the effects of the complex evolution of the world situation and the situation on the Cambodia-Thai border. There is still worrying tension, but we still maintain peace and stability within the country, maintain the national development process, and ensure the normality of the people’s lives.
The Chairman of the Provincial Council also mentioned that Kampong Cham province, all levels of administration, have participated in building and achieving many achievements, especially in maintaining peace, political stability, and security, safety, and public order of society, which are the foundation of people’s lives and national development, and are a precious and priceless legacy of Samdech Techo that he left for future leaders.
