Phnom Penh: In the 10-day period from May 11 to 20, 2026, the National Police cracked down on 25 gang cases, arresting a total of 92 perpetrators, while cracking down on 4 gambling cases, arresting 23 gamblers. This is according to a report by the Ministry of Interior.
According to the Ministry of Interior report, in these cases, the authorities have taken legal action by arresting and sending all the gangs to court, while 22 gamblers have also been sent to court and 1 person has been instructed to sign a contract to stop their activities.
Please note that the cases of gangs and illegal gambling that the authorities have cracked down on are in the following geographical areas: Phnom Penh, Kandal Province, Kampot, Kampong Speu, Battambang, Kratie, Siem Reap, Tbong Khmum, Svay Rieng, Ratanakiri, Banteay Meanchey, and Takeo Provinces.
