Phnom Penh: Prime Minister Hun Sen said that the General Department of Taxation has become the largest revenue collection unit in the country among other revenue collection units.
The Prime Minister’s statement was made on the occasion of the official inauguration of the headquarters building of the General Department of Taxation of the Ministry of Economy and Finance in Chroy Changvar District, Phnom Penh on May 21, 2026.
In which, the Prime Minister highlighted that Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Aun Pornmoniroth, Minister of Economy and Finance, and Mr. Kong Vibol, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister and the Royal Government Delegate in charge of the General Department of Taxation, have worked hard to fulfill their duties. And a loyal operator of the previous Royal Government until the 7th term of this National Assembly.
In addition, the President noted that under the leadership of Mr. Kong Vibol, the General Department of Taxation of the Ministry of Economy and Finance has been transforming into an institution that is trusted and recognized for its skills and performance of duties and has continued to grow.
President Hun Manet said, “So far, the General Department of Taxation has become the largest revenue collection unit in the country among other revenue collection units.”
At the same time, the President also praised the leadership and all civil servants of the General Department of Taxation of the Ministry of Economy and Finance for their efforts and achievements. Successfully collected tax revenue for the country in the past.
