Mondulkiri: Dr. Kao Thach, member of the Central Committee and member of the Central Party Youth, His Excellency Thong Savun, Governor of the Mondulkiri Provincial Government and Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee, on May 21, 2026, was invited to deliver a speech and open a program on opportunities and investment directions for the future, which was organized by the Young Entrepreneurs Section of the Central Party Youth and the Mondulkiri Provincial Party Committee.
The workshop held in Mondulkiri province also featured keynote speakers such as Oknha Pech Bolen, President of the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Cambodia, and Mr. Lim Seakpheng, Deputy Director of the Department of Environmental Affairs and Investment Projects Coordination of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, as well as young people from the Young Entrepreneurs’ Plan of the Mondulkiri Provincial Youth Party, with a total of approximately 100 participants.
Mr. Thong Savun, Governor of the Provincial Government, expressed his appreciation to the Party Central Youth Division Young Entrepreneurs and the Cambodian Young Entrepreneurs Association for organizing this program, providing new knowledge. In particular, our party youth must seize the opportunity and gain more knowledge from the above speakers who have experience in sharing tips for preparing for investment and development in Kandalakriti province to further progress in line with the development policies in the four provinces in the Northeast.
On that occasion, Dr. Kao Thach shared with the youth that in the current uncertain global economic situation, the future of the Cambodian economic system and businesses in the country is no longer the same. It is now possible to transform into a knowledge-based and green economy in the future. Therefore, as the youth of the party, we must be prepared by increasing our capacity and knowledge so that our party will be strong, especially by jointly investing locally in the agricultural sector. Create new jobs and occupations to transform Mondulkiri province into a green economy and agriculture that does not affect the environment and society.
Dr. Kao Thach also spoke, providing some important insights to young entrepreneurs of the Mondulkiri Provincial Party about the evolution of business models since the The glorious and current Angkor Empire, our Khmer people have reached the peak and greatness, becoming an empire in economy, science, human resources and people’s livelihood, which makes our Khmer people strong in the agricultural sector. Therefore, on behalf of the youth, we must strive to be like the old days by strengthening our entrepreneurial sector so that our nation will not be looked down upon.
Regarding the issue of investment capital, Dr. Kao Thach emphasized that ARDB Bank will always help young entrepreneurs, as long as they have a clear business plan. In particular, before starting a business and farming, they must first find out the cost of production per unit so that they do not lose money. In the past, when we thought about business and investment, we focused only on the banking sector, not considering other sources of capital such as the stock market and the insurance sector, which could help us a lot through bond issuance, etc.
The doctor sent a message that investment is about creating local jobs and not just looking at the domestic market but diversifying markets in the ASEAN region. Therefore, our entrepreneurs are not only the builders and developers of national businesses, but also participate in building the national economy and society for prosperity.
