Preah Vihear Province: At the Preah Vihear Provincial Hall, a ceremony was held to celebrate the 163rd anniversary of World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day on May 8, 2026, under the meaningful theme of continuing to join forces for humanity. The ceremony was held under the high chairmanship of General Mao Sophan, Head of the Royal Government Working Group in Preah Vihear Province and Honorary President of the Preah Vihear Branch of the Cambodian Red Cross.
Appreciation for the spirit of solidarity and donation On this occasion, General Mao Sophan expressed his deepest gratitude for the generous spirit of His Excellency, The funds received from the participation of all sponsors are an “indispensable driving force” that helps the Preah Vihear Red Cross Branch have the ability and sufficient resources to continue humanitarian activities.
These funds will be used to help people affected by natural disasters (such as droughts, (floods or storms) and timely support for the poorest families and the most vulnerable in the local area, leaving no one behind.
These activities not only demonstrate the implementation of the theme of continuing to join forces for humanity, but also reflect a strong culture of sharing and solidarity. between the armed forces, territorial authorities and the private sector in promoting the well-being of the entire national society.
