Phnom Penh: Government Spokesperson Pen Bona said that although Cambodia has suffered from the storm caused by the Thai invasion and the negative effects of the war in the Middle East, Cambodia continues to stand strong and overcome those obstacles.
In a statement on the Cambodia-Thailand border situation on May 22, 2026, Pen Bona said that over the past two years, Cambodia has faced the problems of war from the Thai invasion and the war from the Middle East, but Cambodia continues to overcome those obstacles.
He said, “Despite the storm caused by the Thai invasion and the negative effects of the war in the Middle East, However, the Royal Government led by Prime Minister Hun Sen continues to stand firm to overcome those obstacles.”
Overcoming those obstacles, the spokesperson claimed, is that on the one hand, the Royal Government strives to protect territorial integrity through active and firm diplomatic policies with maturity. On the other hand, it strives to put in place various intervention measures to help improve the lives of the people by all means.
He added that the Royal Government continues to develop the country in all sectors by constantly taking steps forward in accordance with the policies it has put in place.
