On this occasion, Mr. Pok Pan, Secretary of State, High Representative of Mr. Heng Sour, Minister of Labor and Vocational Training, highlighted that the ministry has been working hard to collect the most comprehensive employment information to provide to citizens at the grassroots level, especially in provinces along the Cambodia-Thai border. In addition to providing immediate job opportunities, Mr. Pok Pan also encouraged youth and workers Returning from abroad, take up Technical and Vocational Training (TVET 1.5M), a priority program of the Royal Government, to achieve the goal of every citizen having at least one lifelong skill that is suitable for current and future labor market needs and will receive a reasonable wage or salary to support their daily family life. For former skilled workers who do not yet have a recognized certificate, the ministry has also introduced a system for the recognition of prior skills (RPL), which allows anyone to apply for a test to receive an official certificate of skill.

At the same time, he advised citizens and youth to participate in promoting the job forum more widely To reach out to the grassroots more effectively. In this regard, for citizens in Siem Reap Province who want to work or receive training in various skills, they can go to the Siem Reap Job Center, which is located on the premises of the Siem Reap Polytechnic Institute. He also highlighted the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training’s hotline number 1297 for matching job seekers and number 1286 for resolving labor disputes.

Please note that the 4,050 job opportunities in Siem Reap are part of the total job opportunities of nearly 90,000 places that the ministry is providing throughout the Kingdom of Cambodia.
