According to a press release on the results of the plenary meeting of the Council of Ministers on May 22, 2026, Prime Minister Hun Sen instructed relevant ministries and institutions, especially the Fisheries Administration, the capital and provincial administrations, as well as the relevant armed forces, to strengthen the prevention of all illegal fishing activities during the spawning season in accordance with national policies and legal norms to conserve natural resources and fisheries.
The Prime Minister added that at the same time, it is also necessary to strengthen the dissemination of the Fisheries Law so that fishermen can contribute to the conservation of important natural resources for the future.
At the same time, Samdech Thibhotei Hun Manet also instructed relevant ministries and institutions, especially the capital and provincial administrations, police forces and military police at all levels, to continue to implement the policy of safe villages, communes and communes with high efficiency and to make it rain like rain by taking strict measures to prevent, curb and suppress various crimes, especially drug crimes, gangs and all types of gambling.
