Minister Heng Sour visits and monitors the condition of workers and employees injured in traffic accidents who are receiving treatment at two hospitals in Phnom Penh.

Phnom Penh: On Sunday afternoon, May 24, 2026, Mr. Heng Sour, Minister of Labor and Vocational Training, visited eight workers who were injured in a traffic accident in Kampong Tralach district, Kampong Chhnang province on May 23 and are currently receiving treatment at Calmette Hospital and Techo Santepheap National Hospital.

Meeting with the injured and their families at each hospital, the Minister expressed his regret for the accident and inquired about their health conditions as the medical team was examining them with great care. With the provision of food and some financial support for all the injured to help them overcome their hardships, the Minister wished all the workers and employees a speedy recovery.

Meanwhile, Mr. Heng Sour instructed the National Social Security Board (NSSB) to continue to pay the utmost attention in coordinating with hospitals and resolving all difficulties to ensure that all victims receive support. and benefits in accordance with applicable laws.

Please note that a total of 9 victims are receiving intensive treatment, including 6 at Calmette Hospital, 2 at Techo Santhephae National Hospital, and 1 at Preah Kosom Hospital, while the B.S.S. Coordination and identification are ongoing.

Currently, the health conditions of the injured in the three hospitals in Phnom Penh have improved.
