Phnom Penh: Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Acting Head of State of Cambodia, said that Samdech Heng Samrin is a distinguished senior figure who contributed to the liberation of the country.
In a message to congratulate Samdech Heng Samrin, Honorary President of the Supreme Council of the King of Cambodia, on his birthday on May 25, 2026, Samdech Techo said that Samdech Heng Samrin is an distinguished senior figure who has worked hard and sacrificed all his strength, intelligence, and experience with the strongest will to contribute to the liberation, building, and development of the nation, the homeland, and strengthening the rule of law and liberal, multi-party democracy.
Samdech Techo said that Samdech Heng Samrin’s contribution is to the development of the Kingdom of Cambodia to be more progressive, prosperous, with prestige and fame on the regional and international stage.
Please note that Samdech Heng Samrin Currently the Honorary President of the Supreme Council of the King and the Honorary President of the Cambodian People’s Party, as of 2026, he is 93 years old. Samdech Heng Samrin was born on May 25, 1934 in Anlong Kres village, Kak commune, Ponhea Krek district, Kampong Cham province. The King and his wife Sao Ti have four children.
