Kampong Cham: Mr. Un Chanda, President of the Kampong Cham Provincial Red Cross, and his colleagues, on the afternoon of May 28, 2026, visited and brought gifts from Samdech Kittipritbandit Bun Rany Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Red Cross, to 52 families affected by the storm in Prek Koy commune, Kang Meas district, Kampong Cham province.

Mr. Touch Chhai, executive director of the Kampong Cham Red Cross branch, said that at 10 p.m. On May 26, 2026, heavy rain and strong winds caused 52 houses in two villages in Prek Koy commune to collapse, with roofs and tiles falling off, severely affecting 8 families, moderately affecting 13 families, and lightly affecting 31 families. At the same time, Wat O Svay was also affected by the strong winds, causing the ceiling of the school and the roof of one bathroom and two other rooms to fall off.

During the meeting, Mr. Un Chanda expressed his condolences to the victim’s family and the abbot of the temple for the unexpected natural disaster, which has affected their lives and caused them to lose time and money for repairs and restoration.

The branch president also delivered a speech, sending condolences and greetings from Dr. Neth Savoeun, Honorary Branch President, and especially from Samdech Kittiprittbandit Bun Rany Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Red Cross, who always pays attention to the welfare of the affected and vulnerable people, regardless of caste, religion, or political affiliation. Even though Samdech did not personally invite him, he always sent representatives to intervene, provide rescue assistance, and help alleviate suffering in a timely manner, in line with the slogan “The Cambodian Red Cross is everywhere for everyone and leaves no one behind.” .

It should be noted that the gifts provided to the 52 affected families included: 25 kg of rice, 1 box of noodles, 1 box of fish, 1 box of fish sauce, 1 box of soy sauce, 1 box of luxury water, 1 box of V-Active, and 1 kit for. The funds were provided according to the actual level of damage.
