Mondulkiri: At the inauguration ceremony of Mr. Kong Kimny, Governor of Mondulkiri Province, and Mr. Colonel Chea Chetra, Commissioner of Police of Mondulkiri Province, on May 28, Deputy Prime Minister Sar Sokha, Minister of the Ministry of Interior, once again emphasized the need to strengthen operations to crack down on online scams.

According to Deputy Prime Minister Sar Sokha, the operation to crack down on cybercrime is a top priority commitment of the Royal Government of Cambodia under the wise and firm leadership of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia. At the same time, protecting the territorial integrity and national sovereignty.

In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister advised the newly appointed provincial governor and the Mondulkiri provincial police chief, as well as the provincial governors, provincial police chiefs, as well as leaders and forces at all levels to continue to pay attention to, among others: Implement Sub-Decree No. 03, Regulation No. 01, and especially the Law on Combating Cybercrime.

From the presiding forum, the Deputy Prime Minister continued to remind the ceremony about the necessity and importance of implementing the policy of safe villages, communes, and sanctuaries, which leaders and officials at all levels must consider as a mechanism and a fundamental principle to be actively implemented together. In addition, the Deputy Prime Minister also recommended that the two new leaders continue to strengthen internal solidarity and expand cooperation with all relevant actors and continue good cooperation with border provinces, aiming to promote socio-economic development in border areas to be more prosperous, as well as increase exchanges of relations and mutual assistance to transform the border into a zone of peace, friendship, cooperation and development.
