Dr. Kao Thach invites to study modern agricultural technology projects and inspect rice mills in Kampong Thom province

Kampong Thom: On the occasion of leading the ARDB delegation to participate in the “Inauguration Ceremony of the Entrepreneurship Support Program Cluster” in Kampong Thom province on June 6, 2026, Dr. Kao Thach, the Royal Government Delegate in Charge of the Agricultural and Rural Development Bank (ARDB), invited to a study tour to learn about the “Mekong River Region Rice Crop Improvement Project” of Guangxi Hengbaofeng Agricultural Development Company, located in Baray commune, Baray district.

The visit was accompanied by Mr. Chan Seiha, Mr. Pech Sany, Mr. Ban Lim, Deputy Director General of ARDB Bank, and Oknha Lay Chhunhua, President of the Cambodian Rice Federation.

Company representatives reported to the delegation that the project began in 2018 on a total area of 1,500 hectares, focusing on new rice cultivation, rice breeding for export, and high-tech fish farming. Dr. Kao Thach praised and highly evaluated this large-scale integrated farming model, which is expected to help increase yields and provide positive benefits to the agricultural sector.

The Director-General then continued his tour to inspect the production line of the BRM rice mill in Thap commune, Santuk district. On that occasion, the doctor encouraged and encouraged the rice mill owners to continue to strengthen and increase their high-quality production capacity to expand the possibility of exporting Cambodian rice to the international market.
