Battambang: On the occasion of the official inauguration of the school building and achievements of the Happy Cambodian Children Organization in Snaul Lekh Village, Snaul Commune, Banan District, Battambang Province on June 8, 2026, Deputy Prime Minister Sar Sokha, Minister of the Interior, encouraged the Happy Cambodian Children Organization to continue its mission of helping poor and vulnerable Cambodian children receive education as a stepping stone towards a bright future, in line with the policy of the Royal Government of Cambodia to promote welfare and human resources to be more qualitative in order to contribute to the development of the national society to be more prosperous.
The Deputy Prime Minister expressed great pride in the Happy Cambodian Children Organization, which since 2018 has expanded its support for the education sector to 9 target provinces and has invested a lot of resources in improving the quality of education and learning opportunities for Cambodian children, which is the right and targeted implementation to ensure that vulnerable and poor children in remote areas can read, write and calculate fluently by the time they finish grade 6.
The Deputy Prime Minister expressed his deep gratitude to the Kinchan Foundation for initiating the Happy Cambodian Children Organization and contributing greatly to the Royal Government in promoting education in remote areas. At the same time, he also expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the various philanthropists and all relevant parties who have dedicated their personal energy and funds to actively contribute to the development of human resources in Cambodia for greater progress.
The Deputy Prime Minister also called on all relevant parties to work together to maintain and improve the quality of education. To ensure that all Cambodian children, wherever they live, have access to equitable, quality and modern educational opportunities, because investing in children today is building Cambodia’s prosperity tomorrow.
It should be noted that since 2018 until now, the Happy Cambodian Children Organization, established by the Kinchan Foundation, has been actively operating in the education sector in remote areas in 9 provinces, including Battambang, Banteay Meanchey, Stung Treng, Prey Veng, Kratie, Tboung Khmum, Kampong Cham, Siem Reap and Ratanakiri.
