Takeo: On the morning of June 8, 2026, the atmosphere at Andong Samrit Primary School in Koh Andet district was filled with smiles and happy voices as students actively played sports after receiving sports equipment donated by the China Foundation for Rural Development through the Civil Society Alliance Forum.

On behalf of the principal, the management, teachers, guardians, and all students, Mr. Phuon Chhim, Governor of Koh Andet District, expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the contributions of civil society from both countries, Cambodia and China, who have always not only supported the construction of school buildings, provided school bags, and provided educational materials, but also paid attention to promoting physical health and developing students’ abilities through sports. This mission was highlighted by the district governor from the achievements that the Civil Society Alliance Forum has provided to the people of Ba Luang district since 2017.

At the same time, Mr. Chea Monirith, Director of the Planning and Projects Department of the Civil Society Alliance Forum, said that under the guidance of His Excellency Kemroth Viseth, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Civil Society Alliance Forum, the forum always encourages students to participate in sports regularly because sports are not only the basis for healthy physical development, but also help cultivate a sense of solidarity, teamwork, discipline and leadership, which are important skills for children’s future.

Especially The program at Andong Samrit Primary School is the final program to hand over 2,550 sets of sports equipment, a gift from Chinese friends, to be distributed to 678 schools in Phnom Penh and 8 other provinces during 2026. The program reflects the Chinese side’s attention to the education and development of Cambodian children, and contributes to improving the quality of life and well-being of students in the community.

These sports equipment are not only material gifts, but also a symbol of friendship, solidarity and cooperation between the Cambodian and Chinese people, who have jointly cultivated a new generation of human resources with knowledge, good health, and a sense of belonging. and a spirit of cooperation for future social development.
