Phnom Penh: Dr. Kao Thach, the Royal Government Delegate in Charge of the Agricultural and Rural Development Bank (ARDB), on June 11, 2026, was invited to participate in the first Customs and FASMEC Forum under the theme “Supporting and Supporting Small and Medium Enterprises to Boost Local Production and Competitiveness” held at the National Customs School in Phnom Penh.

The 1st Customs and FASMEC Forum was chaired by His Excellency Professor Aun Pornmoniroth, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Finance, Dr. Kun Nhim, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister, Director General of the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia, and Oknha Te Taing Por, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cambodian Small and Medium Enterprises Association.

The first Customs and FASMEC Forum, organized for two days under the theme of supporting and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises to boost local production and competitiveness, is another historic event in the collaboration between the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia and FASMEC.
In addition, creating awareness about customs procedures, tax incentives, and trade facilitation, as we all know, small and medium-sized enterprises are the backbone of the national economy and play an important role in supporting economic growth, creating jobs, generating income for citizens, promoting local products, creating added value and strengthening Cambodia’s economic base to be stronger and more competitive.

Please note that the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia and the Cambodian Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises Associations have jointly initiated the organization of this forum with the aim of creating a platform for dialogue and mutual understanding between the customs administration and small and medium enterprises to promote customs policies, regulations and procedures.
