Phnom Penh: Mr. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, highlighted that promoting domestic tourism is considered an important pillar in sustaining and strengthening the resilience of Cambodia’s tourism sector through the implementation of the “Visit Cambodia in the Green Season” campaign and in line with the tourism mottos “Love the Nation, Know the Land” and “Tourism Connects the Land”.

The statement by Mr. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, was made during the opening ceremony of the seminar to disseminate the results of the end-of-term evaluation report of the implementation of the updated tourism development plan for the capital and provinces for the years 2021-2025 and the ceremony to officially launch the guidelines on “Preparing tourism development plans for the capital and provinces and evaluating achievements”, which is an important document for strengthening the effectiveness of planning, monitoring, supervision, evaluation and summarizing the achievements of past work implementation as well as a solid basis for preparing strategic directions and tourism development plans for the next phase, with efficiency, consistency and sustainability, on July 2, 2026, at the Office of the Ministry of Tourism.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Huot Hak emphasized that today’s important achievements are the fruits of efforts in a spirit of solidarity and close cooperation between the Ministry of Tourism and sub-national administrations.
