Phnom Penh: The spokesperson for the Ministry of Information has urged the Banteay Meanchey Provincial Information Department to strengthen cooperation and build good relationships with local journalists to become a strong source of reliable and trustworthy information, especially regarding military affairs and the protection of Cambodia’s territorial integrity.
In an orientation meeting on “Information and Public Opinion Work” for civil servants of the Banteay Meanchey Provincial Information Department on the afternoon of July 15, 2026, Mr. Tep Asnarith, Undersecretary of State and Spokesperson for the Ministry of Information, said that understanding the need for cooperation between officials of the Information Department and local journalists or journalists passing through from other provinces across the country is important for promoting the dissemination of information with professional quality, especially related to national security affairs.
He said This collaboration should be carried out regularly and to the fullest extent possible to support the needs of the press, as well as to provide tips to facilitate the work of journalists to gather information and interview experts, authorities, and stakeholders in the story.
