Phnom Penh: Deputy Prime Minister Sar Sokha, Minister of the Ministry of Interior, considered the workshop on sharing experiences of local authorities’ participation in building model public service delivery units, organized by the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Public Service, as a new event that helps improve public services and strengthen the participation of sub-national administrations and relevant competent authorities to jointly build model public service delivery units in the education and health sectors.

Speaking on the occasion of inviting as co-chairman of the closing ceremony of the seminar, Mr. Hun Many, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Public Service and Chairman of the National Public Service Organization Evaluation Committee on July 23, 2026 at the Ministry of Interior, Deputy Prime Minister Sar Sokha highly appreciated the efforts of the leadership and technical working groups of the Ministry of Public Service, the Ministry of Interior and the Secretariat of the National Public Service Organization, who collaborated well in organizing the seminar to run smoothly and achieve fruitful results in accordance with the planned objectives.

The Deputy Prime Minister noted that this seminar was not only a gathering, but rather a sharing of good lessons and experiences related to the responsible participation of sub-national administrations in promoting and supporting the model public service organization competition movement, as well as sharing practical lessons and experiences of some provincial, municipal, district and commune administrations that have worked hard to lead and coordinate and support public service organizations to achieve continuous success.
The Minister of Interior said, emphasizing that quality public services are the main goal of the first phase of the Pentagon Strategy of the 7th mandate of the Royal Government under the wise leadership of His Majesty the King Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia.

In this regard, to ensure quality service provision to citizens, the Deputy Prime Minister has also issued important guidelines, such as, from an understanding of citizens’ needs, considering citizens as the core of planning and service provision to ensure targeted service provision, and at the same time, ensuring convenience, speed, transparency, and accountability to strengthen citizens’ trust.
