Phnom Penh: Cambodian Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, Mr. Khuon Phonrattanak, said that the 8th Working Committee Meeting on ASEAN-Republic of Korea Cultural Heritage Cooperation is important for Cambodia in exploring new things, especially the use of digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI).

The meeting was organized within the framework of cooperation with the International Information and Network Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage in Asia-Pacific, under the auspices of UNESCO, with the aim of promoting mutual understanding on cultural issues and promoting sustainable development through strengthening information exchange, sharing of experiences and expanding cooperation networks between the Korea Heritage Service and the ASEAN Committee in Seoul.

The discussion focused on strengthening cooperation in tangible and intangible cultural heritage between ASEAN and the Republic of Korea, including: past achievements in this field, updates on joint initiatives and projects in the field of ASEAN-Korea cultural heritage, and setting future directions for strengthening cooperation.
