Cambodia-France continue to promote cooperation in agriculture and human resource development

Phnom Penh: In a working meeting on July 30, 2026, Mr. Dith Tina, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and Dr. Florence Thivet, Technical Advisor of the French Center for Agricultural Research for International Development (CIRAD), exchanged views on continuing to promote cooperation in the agricultural sector and human resource development.

 Dr. Florent Thivet expressed his satisfaction with the continuous growth of cooperation and relations and expressed his deep gratitude to the Royal Government of Cambodia for always providing full support and facilitating the success of the Doctor’s mission and achieving many remarkable achievements and cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries to strengthen and expand the relationship to be stronger and more prosperous.

Minister Dith Tina thanked the Doctor for successfully completing his 12-year mission in Cambodia and highly appreciated the Doctor’s active contribution to the fruitful agricultural sector and promoting Cambodian-French relations and cooperation, aiming to build trust and communication, especially supporting research in Cambodian agriculture.

Minister Dith Tina and Dr. Florence Thivet also exchanged views on continuing to promote cooperation in the agricultural sector, human resource development, agricultural modernization, and promoting research through the important Cambodian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, now and in the future.
