Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Tourism and ACLEDA Bank on August 4, 2026 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the use of e-Payment services to enhance the efficiency of public services and expand cooperation to support Cambodia’s tourism sector.

Mr. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, presided over the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Tourism, represented by Mr. Song Tonghap, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Tourism, and ACLEDA Bank Plc., represented by Dr. In Channy, CEO, on “Using ACLEDA Bank’s Services for Public Service Payment Transactions via Electronic Payment System (e-Payment)”.

The MoU aims to improve the efficiency, convenience and modernization of the Ministry of Tourism’s public service delivery through the use of digital payment systems, as well as strengthen partnerships between state institutions and the private sector to contribute to promoting the digital environment and supporting the development of Cambodia’s tourism sector.

This cooperation is a continuation of the first discussion between the Ministry of Tourism and ACLEDA Bank on March 26, 2025 and is a new step in expanding cooperation between the two institutions to be more comprehensive and effective.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister praised ACLEDA Bank’s achievements and contributions in developing the financial sector and improving people’s livelihoods, as well as its past support for the tourism sector through the use of digital systems, promoting tourism potential, and sponsoring River and Sea Festival events and various tourism programs.
