Foreign: Three Indian domestic airlines have signed agreements for 105 Russian Il-114-300 passenger planes, as Moscow and New Delhi push to expand cooperation in civil aviation and manufacturing.

These companies are yet to start scheduled commercial operations. Another new company, Flamingo Aerospace, has also agreed to buy six of the aircraft, with deliveries expected in 2028.

The agreement, memorandum of understanding and letter of intent were announced in New Delhi ahead of the BRICS summit starting on Friday. The event comes as India and Russia seek to expand industrial and economic cooperation beyond the traditional areas of partnership between the two countries.
