Phnom Penh: Deputy Prime Minister Sar Sokha, Minister of Interior, has encouraged all ministries and institutions to continue paying high attention to promoting women currently working to have broader opportunities to demonstrate their abilities and knowledge.

Speaking on the occasion of presiding over the celebration of the 115th International Women’s Day on March 8, 2026, at the Ministry of Interior headquarters on March 5, 2026, Deputy Prime Minister Sar Sokha stated that as a man, without the valuable presence of grandmothers, mothers, aunts, or elder sisters nearby to advise and educate, men cannot have full opportunities to perform their roles and duties well.

The Minister of Interior emphasized that the value of women is an invaluable asset, as women sacrifice in every way—from physical and mental strength to personal time—to nurture their families and the nation’s society without considering fatigue.

In this regard, Deputy Prime Minister Sar Sokha encouraged all ministries and institutions to continue paying high attention to promoting women currently working to have broader opportunities to demonstrate their abilities and knowledge. Priority should continue to be given to women in obtaining leadership roles and decision-making positions in the public sector because valuing women is not only a recognition of their contributions but also a smart investment for the foundational development of a sustainable and peaceful society.
