Phnom Penh: The General Department of Immigration of the Ministry of Interior of Cambodia has announced that another 1,121 foreigners have been deported from Cambodia after being involved in various crimes in the country.

According to the Facebook page of the General Department of Immigration, on March 5 and 6, 2026, following the recommendations of the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Interior, and the leadership of the Ministry of Interior, General Sok Vanna, Director General of Immigration, instructed the Investigation Department to continue the deportation procedures, resulting in a total of 1,121 foreigners (67 women) being deported from Cambodia.

These foreigners come from 15 nationalities including China, Japan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Congo, India, Uganda, Kenya, Malaysia, Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan, Nepal, the Philippines, and Nigeria. Among them, 478 Chinese nationals (19 women) were deported via special flights at the Techo International Airport Police Checkpoint, and 150 Chinese nationals (3 women) were deported via special flights at the Siem Reap Angkor International Airport Police Checkpoint. All these foreigners were involved in cases of illegal border crossing, staying without proper documents, online fraud, using fake passports, and working illegally in Cambodia.
It is reminded that the deportation of these foreigners is a strict legal enforcement by the Royal Government of Cambodia in its efforts to clean up and eliminate crimes through technological systems, ensuring the safety of citizens both locally and globally without exception for the masterminds behind these crimes, as well as assisting victims who were deceived into participating in fraudulent activities through technological systems, allowing them freedom and the ability to return to their home countries.
