Svay Rieng: Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, has given guidance to all provincial governors to know how to promote and enhance the potential of their respective provinces in order to compete and attract investment by eliminating challenges faced by investors and residents, especially security issues.

This guidance to each provincial governor by Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet was given on the occasion of the official inauguration of the Andoung Teuk Saey Clean Water Factory in Svay Rieng city and the commencement of construction projects to expand clean water infrastructure in five provinces on March 26, 2026.

On that occasion, Samdech Thipadei expressed the desire for each province to compete to increase their provincial GDP growth, emphasizing that these efforts will benefit the residents within the provinces as well as citizens across the country who come to work in those provinces.

Additionally, Samdech Thipadei, the Prime Minister, expressed further gratitude for the commitment of each province to strengthen themselves, which is an important task in attracting more investment to increase potential, create more opportunities for the people, and encouraged them to continue these efforts.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet stated, “And I thank each provincial governor for their efforts; if a provincial governor does not strive for their own province, no one will help. The governor of Svay Rieng helps Svay Rieng province, the governor of Prey Veng helps Prey Veng province, the governor of Kratie helps Kratie province. The Royal Government helps collectively, but this competition and attraction must continue to ensure strengthening the potential of provinces, building additional achievements, eliminating challenges for investment, residents’ living conditions, security issues, and creating a better environment. This is what each province must continue to do.”
