Phnom Penh: The Association of Banks in Cambodia has pledged close cooperation with the National Bank of Cambodia and relevant parties to support priority policies aimed at enhancing the stability, environment, and resilience of the financial sector.

At the annual general meeting of the Association of Banks in Cambodia on March 26, 2026, Mr. Rath Sophan, President of the Association of Banks in Cambodia, expressed gratitude to all outgoing board members for their enthusiastic leadership and to the Secretariat team for their efforts and sacrifices in supporting the banking sector.

On this occasion, the President congratulated the newly elected board members and presented three visions for the new term to promote the banking and financial sector towards sustainability, ethics, and high responsibility to strengthen public trust and improve the financial environment. This includes enhancing the capacity of bankers through regular training in banking technical skills and leadership, as well as strengthening cooperation to further solidify the ecosystem to support sustainable and inclusive national growth.

The President also reiterated the Association’s commitment to working closely with the National Bank of Cambodia, relevant parties, and all partners within the Royal Government of Cambodia institutions to support priority policies in strengthening the stability, environment, resilience of the financial sector, and sustainable economic growth.

It is recalled that the Association of Banks in Cambodia is a local professional association operating on a non-profit basis, established to promote the development of the financial system in Cambodia and to protect the legal interests of its members. The Association conducts its activities in close cooperation with authorities, associations, organizations, or institutions locally and internationally, serving as a liaison between these institutions to fulfill the Association’s mission.
