Phnom Penh: Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhon, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, stated that the Royal Government of Cambodia remains determined to resolve all border issues through peaceful procedures in accordance with international law and bilateral agreements between Cambodia and Thailand.

The statement was made by Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhon during his leadership of diplomats and representatives of United Nations agencies and international organizations in Cambodia to inspect the site at Thmada Commune, Veal Veng District, Pursat Province, Cambodia, on March 27, 2026, where the Thai military illegally occupied and continued to deploy container boats and fishing traps.

At the same time, the Deputy Prime Minister and the delegation also met and extended gifts of food and consumables to 76 refugee families currently residing in the Hun Sen Promoy High School refugee camp in Promoy Village, Promoy Commune, Veal Veng District, Pursat Province.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized, “The Royal Government of Cambodia remains firmly committed to resolving all border issues through peaceful procedures in accordance with international law and relevant bilateral agreements, while strictly upholding the joint declaration of the 3rd Special Meeting of the General Border Committee (GBC) held on December 27, 2025.”
