Phnom Penh: On the occasion of the traditional National New Year, Prime Minister Hun Sen of Cambodia expressed his strong commitment to continue to work hard to build, protect and develop the national society.

In a message to Cambodian compatriots on the occasion of the traditional National New Year, the year 2570, Prime Minister Hun Sen expressed his strong commitment to continue to work hard to build, protect and develop the national society, standing on the right path towards harmony, dignity and social well-being, despite the obstacles and challenges he faces.

The Prime Minister said that on behalf of the Royal Government of Cambodia, we must turn these difficulties into experiences, into pain. “To become a strong force and turn obstacles into opportunities for success.” The Prime Minister emphasized that in the past year, Cambodia has gone through many new and unprecedented challenges that have had direct and indirect impacts on national security and socio-economic development.

In the face of continuous challenges from both external and internal factors, with high uncertainty and risk, the world has been learning to live in new situations and seeking a new normal. For Cambodia, the best option is to continue to strengthen itself and increase ownership on important and necessary foundations to increase its ability to respond to problems and crises with resilience.
