Moscow: The United States and Israel could use peace talks to prepare for possible ground military action against Iran, Russian media reported, citing the Russian Security Council.
According to the TASS news agency, the council said this could happen as the Pentagon continues to build up the US military presence in the region.
The council warned that if the talks between the United States and Iran fail to achieve the planned goals, hostilities could resume with greater intensity after two weeks.
The council also noted that the Iranian government remains in control of the domestic situation, with no signs of the unrest expected by Washington and Tel Aviv. And various political and social groups in Iran have rallied around the central authority.
