Foreign: Shipping data from Kpler and LSEG showed that the Pakistani-flagged tanker Shalamar left the Persian Gulf through the Strait of Hormuz carrying crude oil from the United Arab Emirates.

According to Arab News published on April 17, 2026, Kpler data showed that the Aframax tanker left the waterway on Thursday carrying about 440,000 barrels of Abu Dhabi’s Das Blend crude oil, which was loaded earlier this week. According to the data, the ship is heading to the port of Karachi to discharge its cargo on April 19.

The Shalamar was one of two Pakistani tankers that entered the Strait on Sunday to load crude oil and petroleum products. Pakistan’s oil minister said on Wednesday that the Shalamar had loaded crude oil from the United Arab Emirates at the ADNOC terminal.

Pakistan National Shipping, which operates the Shalamar, did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Traffic in the strait has slowed this week due to the US blockade.
