Israel criticizes three nations at the UN for continuing to support Iran

Foreign Affairs: According to RT, Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations has criticized his counterparts in France, China and Pakistan, accusing them of effectively supporting Iran by allegedly continuing to negotiate further agreements to ensure safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz.

The sharp criticism and criticism appear to stem from recent media reports that commercial ships from the three countries have been able to pass through the Strait of Hormuz during the blockade, in some cases with Iranian permission, despite the broader restrictions on shipping imposed by Tehran.

Danny Danon said in a post on social media X shortly after speaking at the UN General Assembly session on the closure of the Strait of Hormuz: I asked the French ambassador, how much did you pay to Iran? To move the ship safely through the Strait of Hormuz?

He wrote that surprisingly, he had no response. He wrote, “The Chinese and Pakistani ambassadors also had no response.”

It is worth noting that navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, a vital route that controls about 25 percent of the world’s oil and liquefied natural gas flows, has been disrupted since Tehran temporarily closed the waterway in response to the US and Israeli bombing campaign that began on February 28.
