Bridge across Bassac River, Chak Angre Krom-Prek Pra, 68% complete, scheduled for completion by the end of 2027

Phnom Penh: Mr. Phan Rim, spokesman for the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, said that the bridge across the Bassac River, Chak Angre Krom-Prek Pra, has been 68% completed as of April 20, 2026, meaning that “the project is 6% ahead of schedule.”

What the project has achieved: 1-100% completion of the bridge foundation, 2-89% completion of the bridge structure, 3-28% completion of the bridge structure, 180 T-beams completed, 132 completed of the 180 T-beams in place, 156 completed of the 180 T-beams, 4-44.4% completion of the road network, 50% completion of the connection, 42% completion of the Ram road.

The Chak Angre Krom-Prek Pra Bridge was inaugurated on February 19, 2024, under the patronage of His Majesty the King Hun Sen, Prime Minister, and Mr. Wang Wentian, Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia.

The spokesperson said, “According to the construction schedule, there is no delay in the planned work program, with completion scheduled for the end of 2027.”
