Phnom Penh: The first meeting of the “2+2” strategic dialogue between the foreign ministers and defense ministers of Cambodia and China began on the evening of April 22, 2026 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Phnom Penh between Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Deputy Prime Minister Tea Seiha, Minister of National Defense of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and Wang Yi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Dong Jun, Minister of National Defense of the People’s Republic of China.

Please note that the “2+2” strategic dialogue was held under the consensus of the top leaders of Cambodia and China during the state visit of Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, to Cambodia in April 2025 with the aim of promoting high-level strategic relations, deepening political and security trust and comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
