Preah Vihear Province: On April 22, 2026, in its ongoing efforts to eliminate cross-border crimes and protect security in the digital strategy, the Preah Vihear Provincial Administration organized a meeting to promote the plan for the continuation of the campaign to clean up online scams.
The meeting was solemnly held at the Preah Vihear Provincial Hall under the high chairmanship of His Excellency Um Mara, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Interior and Chairman of the National Plan Promotion Steering Group.

Key points of the campaign
Strengthening the suppression mechanism The meeting emphasized the introduction of strict measures to find and suppress all online fraud nests that pose a risk to national security and international order.
Inter-sectoral collaboration: Encouraging active participation from law enforcement agencies at all levels, local authorities, and relevant sectors to ensure that Cambodia is not a haven for cybercrime.

Public awareness: Promote and educate citizens to understand the tricks of criminals To prevent themselves from being deceived by increasingly complex technological systems.

Ensuring the sustainability of this campaign is a priority to build confidence among international investors and tourists, as well as responding to the Royal Government of Cambodia’s commitment to fighting global cybercrime.

According to Mr. Um Mara, the context and importance of preparing this plan reflects the Ministry of Interior’s strong will to follow the guidelines of the Royal Government of Cambodia in the era of the digital economy. Preah Vihear Province, despite being a border province, is playing an important role in tightening security to prevent the spread of cybercrimes, which is a global challenge.
Through this meeting, Cambodia sent a clear message to the international community about seriousness, responsibility, and cooperation in making the digital environment clean and safe for everyone.
