Battambang: A suspect was investigated and arrested by the Battambang City Police Department after he broke into an air conditioner and cut off its wires and copper pipes while the owner was not at home.
The above operation took place on the afternoon of April 22, 2026 After receiving information about a case of thieves stealing an air conditioner by cutting only the wires and copper pipes from a house where the owner does not live, located in Group 38, Village 20 May, Sangkat Svay Por, Battambang city.
The suspect was arrested, named Rin Phe, a 29-year-old male, living at the train station in Sangkat Toul Ta Ek, Battambang city. The suspect confessed that upon noticing that the house above was unoccupied, he climbed up the tree in front of the house, broke open the door, and cut the copper wire from the air conditioner in the house on the night of April 21, 2026 to sell the copper inside.
After questioning The above suspects have been prepared by the authorities to file a case and be sent to legal punishment.
