Banteay Meanchey: Following the strict orders of General Sar Thet, Commissioner-General of the National Police, and with the coordination of the Prosecutor’s Office of Banteay Meanchey Provincial Court, on April 22, 2026, Lieutenant General Hem Sovath, Deputy Commissioner-General of the National Police, led the National Police Force in cooperation with the Banteay Meanchey Provincial Police Force to launch an operation to crack down on a clandestine building that was committing online fraud crimes in O’Chrov Sangkat, Poipet City, Banteay Meanchey Province.

According to the report, in the operation, the joint task force inspected two locations, equivalent to three buildings, and found a total of 402 suspects, 36 women, with 10 nationalities, including: China, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Indonesia, Myanmar, Kyrgyzstan, India, Nepal, and Georgia.
Currently, 385 foreigners have been sent to the General Department of Immigration to continue the procedure, including 34 women, with 10 nationalities.

In particular, the 17 suspects, 2 women, the above materials and evidence, the joint operations team decided to seize and send to temporary storage at the Department of Anti-Commercial Gambling Crimes to continue the procedure.
