Mr. Pen Bona: The Royal Government plans to provide temporary housing to refugees

Phnom Penh: Spokesperson of the Royal Government of Cambodia, Mr. Pen Bona, said that the Royal Government of Cambodia has been considering the livelihood of refugees through a project to provide temporary housing for them when the border issue is resolved.
In a statement on the Cambodian-Thai border situation on April 4, 2026, Mr. Pen Bona said that the Royal Government of Cambodia under the leadership of Samdech Maha Bavorathit Thi Hun Manet has been considering the livelihood of the families of the current and future heroes by providing them with housing.

He said the Royal Government had also considered the debt situation, the preparation of a fund to support the families of the soldiers, livelihoods, and the provision of scholarships for their children, etc.
The spokesman stated that “the Royal Government had also considered the refugees, starting from their livelihoods, and had prepared temporary houses for them to live in and planned to hand them over to the refugees once they returned to their original homes after resolving the border issue through diplomacy.”
