Battambang provincial governor instructs authorities to strengthen prevention of cross-border crimes as effectively as possible

Battambang: Mr. Sok Loo, Governor of Battambang Province, has instructed relevant authorities to strengthen the prevention of cross-border crimes and all types of crimes more effectively.

Mr. Sok Loo’s instructions were made on the occasion of leading the April meeting of the Battambang Provincial Administration Unified Command. The meeting was held at the Battambang Provincial Hall on May 12, 2026.

After listening to the report of Mr. Thu Phe, Deputy Governor of the province, Mr. Sok Loo spoke and advised all relevant authorities to strengthen the prevention of cross-border crimes and all types of crimes to be more effective.

In particular, because the rainy season is approaching, the provincial governor urged authorities, experts and forces to strengthen the prevention of illegal fishing and other natural resource crimes to jointly protect and preserve natural resources.

He instructed the authorities and the provincial Department of Public Works and Transport to continue to prevent and crack down on the traffic of vehicles with improper technical modifications and overloaded vehicles, which can cause traffic accidents and anarchy on public roads.

Regarding online scams, the provincial governor reminded authorities and forces to continue to monitor closely to prevent online scams from occurring in their localities.
