Ratanakiri: Dr. Kao Thach, member of the Central Committee and member of the Central Party Youth Committee, Mr. Say Samean, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Party and Deputy Chairman of the Youth Committee of the Ratanakiri Provincial Party, and representative Mr. Nhem Sam Oeun, Governor of Ratanakiri Province, on May 20, 2026, were invited to participate in a seminar on opportunities and investment directions for the future, which was organized by the Young Entrepreneurs Section of the Central Party Youth Committee and the Ratanakiri Provincial Party Committee.

The workshop, held in Ban Lung, Ratanakiri province, also featured keynote speakers such as Oknha Pech Bolen, President of the Cambodian Young Entrepreneurs Association, and Mr. Lim Seakpheng, Deputy Director of the Department of Environmental Affairs and Investment Projects Coordination of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, as well as young people from the Young Entrepreneurs’ Plan of the Ratanakiri Provincial Youth Party, with a total of approximately 100 participants.

Dr. Kao Thach informed the forum that in a situation where the world is facing the tension of the Russian-Ukrainian war and the war in the Middle East, Cambodia is also suffering. Therefore, today’s program is also an opportunity for our youth to increase their capabilities, knowledge, and skills and seize new opportunities in the fields of entrepreneurship and investment.

On that occasion, Dr. Kao Thach, as a member of the central youth party, reminded that the differences between the business from the Angkor era and the present, which we, as the youth of the party, must understand clearly from one stage to another, especially the development of a new type of economy. In fact, during the Angkor era, we Khmer people used agriculture as a pillar of the economy, and it did not go far, including the water reservoirs in the Angkor area as a source of water for farming. That our Khmer Empire became a glorious empire at its peak because of the agricultural sector of that time.

For Dr. Kao Thach, his last message to the party youth in Ratanakkiri province was that we, the youth of the party, must all strive to build our capabilities so that our nation is strong, including clear knowledge and skills so that we can help our nation. If each of us is weak, our nation will be weak. Therefore, this is an important point that all of us young people must remember that we are all part of nation building, so we must orient ourselves to move towards new businesses and related businesses and new contexts, namely the knowledge-based economy and the green economy.
