Phnom Penh: Through collaboration between the provincial Departments of Labor and Vocational Training and provincial authorities, the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training has promoted and implemented an awareness campaign to enterprise locations and companies on “Preventing and Suppressing the Use of Child Labor and Improving Working Conditions for Young Workers Nationwide by 2026” in brick-tile and agro-industrial factories in Kampong Thom, Siem Reap and Oddar Meanchey provinces, focusing on labor laws, International Labor Organization (ILO) conventions, and legal standards related to child labor.

The campaign aims to raise awareness about child labor and encourage participation from all stakeholders in preventing and reporting suspected cases of child labor. At the same time, the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training has encouraged and encouraged local authorities, communities of brick-tile and agro-industrial industries to continue to participate in preventing and eliminating all forms of slavery, severe forms of child labor and hazardous work in order to be more effective.

At the same time, the Ministry has encouraged All employers must register as members of the B.S.C. To ensure the best benefits for all workers and continue to encourage employers to register in the automated system (LACMS) of the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training.

On that occasion, the Ministry also advised all relevant parties to jointly commit to ending all forms of child labor And report quickly via Hotline 1297 or 1286 or the anonymous complaint box in case of any serious form of child labor, so that the Ministry can take timely and effective legal action.
