Phnom Penh: In the 10 days from May 11 to May 20, 2026, 55 road traffic accidents occurred, resulting in 33 deaths and 95 others being seriously injured. According to the Ministry of Interior report.
According to the report, the accidents occurred in Phnom Penh, Kandal, Takeo, Kampong Speu, Sihanoukville, Kampot, Kampong Chhnang, Pursat, Battambang, Banteay Meanchey, Siem Reap, Kampong Thom, Kampong Cham, Tbong Khmum, Kratie, Stung Treng, Ratanakiri and Svay Rieng provinces.
As for the fire incidents, during the same period, there were 26 cases and 14 houses were damaged, located in Phnom Penh, Kandal, Takeo, Kampot, Kampong Chhnang, Pursat, Kampong Thom, Stung Treng, Preah Vihear, Kampong Cham, Kratie, Tbong Khmum and Prey Veng provinces.
The fires also caused damage to other property, including 18 vehicles. 1 motorbike, 2 sheds, 1 school, 1 soup shop, 2 sheds, and 2 warehouses.
