Siem Reap: More than 4,000 citizens and youth from poor and vulnerable families received skills training at two vocational training institutions in Siem Reap province through the King’s TVET 1.5M program.

Two vocational training institutions in Siem Reap Province, namely the Regional Polytechnic Institute of Technology, Siem Reap (RPITSSR) and the National Polytechnic Institute of Angkor (NPIA), have provided vocational training to over 4,321 local residents, including 2,136 youth from poor and vulnerable families. This is from the beginning of 2024 until the first quarter of 2026.

Mr. Sun Mesa, spokesperson for the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training, welcomed the increase in the number of registrants and continued to appeal to young people and citizens And former workers who have returned from Thailand but do not yet have skills, please register to receive free skills training, which can increase income to escape poverty.

It should be noted that since the announcement of the implementation of the TVET program 1.5M to targeted youth from poor and at-risk families on January 15, 2024 until the first quarter of 2026, a total of 164,677 people. Among them, 70,780 people with certificates received professional training throughout Cambodia.
