More than 3,000 peacock saplings have been planted to promote beauty and natural tourism at the foot of Mount Tbeng, Preah Vihear Province.

Preah Vihear Province: In an effort to promote the green city movement and support the local ecotourism sector, Preah Vihear city authorities have launched a campaign to plant nearly 3,000 peacock flower saplings along the roads leading to the natural resort area.

This important environmental activity took place on Sunday morning June 7, 2026, under the direct leadership of Mr. Pok Nguon, Governor of Preah Vihear City and Mr. Chat Soun, Mayor of Palhal Sangkat.

The campaign was organized from the Palhal Sangkat school campus along the road to the Dam 95 area, which is a potential natural tourism area Located near the foot of Mount Tbeng in Preah Vihear city, Preah Vihear province.

The initiative received enthusiastic participation from local authorities, including the village head, deputy village head, 10 village members, and a total of 92 people (including 11 women).

The planting of these peacock trees will not only help increase green cover and reduce the impact of climate change, but will also create a beautiful red flower belt in the future that can attract more national and international tourists to the foot of Mount Tbeng, contributing to the economic development of the local ampelous tree community.
