Geneva: Mr. Heng Sour, Minister of Labor and Vocational Training, visited the SPARK Campus Innovation and Training Center, FORPRO Watchmaking School, and Automotive Maintenance Center on June 10, 2026, during his participation in the 114th International Labor Conference of the International Labor Organization (ILO) in Geneva, Switzerland.

During this important visit, the Minister personally inspected Switzerland’s innovative approach to Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), including the latest modern equipment for developing technological skills, including watchmaking and vehicle maintenance skills.

He also invited several trainers and trainees to discuss the preparation and training of competency-based curricula that respond to labor market needs. Mr. Heng Sour expressed great interest in drawing on the experience of the Swiss TVET system, which is internationally recognized, combining studies at training institutions with practical work. This experience is an additional basis for modernizing the vocational training system in Cambodia, improving the quality and responsiveness of skills development programs, and strengthening the relationship between training institutions and the private sector.

Meanwhile, the host side welcomed the Cambodian delegation’s interest in learning practical experiences from the Swiss TVET system and shared practical methods. Management and lessons that can be taken into account and implemented. In addition, the host party also expressed its willingness to continue sharing knowledge and experience with Cambodia in key related fields in the future.
